Mosaic Shawl
I mentioned in my that I’m working on a shawl that my Mom has requested. I also mentioned that I would get a photo of my progress to date on it. Well here it is! *laugh* (the colors of this are much more deeper than what this pic shows)
How would you make this just right?
I am in need of your opinions once again.
Crochet Watch Strap
My Grandmother had asked me over a month or so ago if I would make a strap for her watch as the one that came with it was already fall apart.
Repairing Granny Square Blanket
I’ve had this blanket for ages. It used to be (according to my Mom) on my bed when I was a child. We don’t know exactly who crocheted it for me – though my Mom thinks it might have been Nana (her Mom). If it’s been around since I was a child, then it would be roughly 30 years old by now, perhaps longer! Despite it being so old it is in pretty good condition.
Recycling Sweater Yarn
After my Grandfather passed away this past February, we had to go through his stuff. All his clothes we were donating to the Salvation Army – at least the ones we decided not to keep. In with the ones we kept were two sweaters (one white/tan, the other red/burgundy) that my Grandmother thought I might like, which she was right. Though I had a whole other purpose to wanting them from what she thought. *laugh* My idea, because the stitches were very pronounced, was to recycle the yarn to make a shawl or lap blanket. I thought that I would give this to my Grandmother for Christmas this year. This was for the white/tan sweater.
Homemade Stitch Markers
I had been searching whenever I went into a store for stitch markers like the ones I’ve seen others use. You know the ones I’m talking about… the ones with cool beads that fit on any knitting needle to mark a place that you need to be reminded of something changing in your pattern. After searching and searching, finding some but not liking what I saw… I finally dawned on me that I could make my own! DUH! *laugh* I have all the tools and supplies necessary to make them… so I went to it one night and this is what I came up with…
